Open Gardens in aid of Horsfall House

Celebrate the beauty of winter in Hyde’s enchanting gardens. For two exclusive afternoons, wander among carpets of snowdrops and help raise vital funds for Horsfall House, a not-for-profit organisation and charity caring for the elderly and supporting families in our community.

Why visit?

  • Rare and historic varieties – Hyde was once home to The Giant Snowdrop Company (1950s–1960s)
  • Stunning open gardens, lovingly tended by local enthusiasts
  • Connoisseurs’ Corner – more exotic and unusual varieties of snowdrops
  • Hot drinks and plenty of homemade cake at Hyde End

Good to know:

  • Entry: Voluntary donation – please give generously if you can
  • Parking: Very limited – please car share or walk via Knapp Lane
  • Accessibility:
  • Accessibility: Parking for those with limited mobility is available at some of the gardens and views can be enjoyed from a wheelchair although the gardens are generally not wheelchair friendly unfortunately. Gardens include slopes, uneven surfaces and steps, so take care.
  • Footwear: Waterproof shoes recommended (some lanes can be muddy)

With thanks to the residents of Hyde without whom this event would not occur.
