Open Gardens in aid of Horsfall House
For two exclusive afternoons, join us for a special charity event featuring five stunning gardens around Hyde:
Hyde House • Hyde End • Hyde House Cottage • Ivy Cottage • The Walled Garden and wander among carpets of snowdrops and help raise vital funds for Horsfall House, a not-for-profit organisation and charity caring for the elderly and supporting families in our community.
Event Highlights
- Entry: Voluntary donation – please give generously if you can. All proceeds go to Horsfall House.
- Refreshments: Hot drinks and plenty of homemade cake at Hyde End.
- Guidance: Clear signage and friendly marshals throughout.
- Expertise: Connoisseurs’ Corner at Hyde End.
Parking & Accessibility
- Parking: Limited spaces are available at Hyde House and Knapp Lane yard. Please car share or walk via Knapp Lane if possible. Parking is at your own risk.
- Mobility: Some parking for limited mobility visitors is available. Views can be enjoyed from a wheelchair, but gardens are generally not wheelchair-friendly.
Visitor Information and Tips
- Footwear: Dress warmly and wear suitable footwear for uneven terrain and muddy lanes!
- Who can attend: Open to all ages. Under-18s must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
- Safety: Gardens may have uneven terrain and natural hazards. Some areas will be roped off, but attendance is at your own risk.
- Liability: Organisers, garden owners and volunteers cannot accept responsibility for injury, loss or damage.
- Behaviour: Participants must behave respectfully and politely.
- Photography: Attendance implies consent for promotional photos, but do tell the photographer if you do not wish to be in photographs.
- Event changes: May be cancelled or postponed due to bad weather or unforeseen circumstances.
