The Festival Players 2025 performance at Horsfall House
Join us for outdoor Shakespeare comedy Horsfall House
About The Comedy of Errors
One of Shakespeare’s earliest and funniest plays, The Comedy of Errors is a fast-moving comedy full of mistaken identity, family confusion and comic mayhem.
The story follows twin brothers and their twin servants, separated in a shipwreck and unexpectedly reunited years later in the same town on the same day. What follows is a whirlwind of mix-ups, misunderstandings and farcical confusion, as no one can tell the twins apart. Husbands appear to fall for the wrong women, debts are denied, and servants lock masters out of their own homes.
This lively production by Festival Players International features an all-male cast, live original music, traditional costume and fast-paced storytelling, bringing one of Shakespeare’s most entertaining comedies to life as part of their 2026 open-air summer tour.
