SUMMARY:Snowdrops at Hyde 9th and 16th February 2025 from 1.00pm to 4.00pm.
DESCRIPTION:Our Winter Open Gardens event in Hyde is back again for 2025 on
  two consecutive Sundays in the hope of catching at least one day of winte
 r sunshine! But even the greyest February day is brightened by a drift of
  winter flowers and especially the snowdrops that are everywhere in the be
 autiful and historic Hyde gardens. And new for this year\, Hyde End has a 
 small Connoisseurs’ Corner of some more exotic and unusual varieties of 
 snowdrops\, new to the garden.\n\nThe Hyde Giant Snowdrop Company has a f
 ascinating history\, and we will have archive images and information on di
 splay (courtesy of the Stroud Museum in the Park) as well as some of the
 ir famous snowdrops for sale.  Galanthus Samuel Arnott\, for example\, is
  one of the giant Snowdrops that grows very happily here and was originall
 y brought back from the Crimean War…\n\nHere are the main event details
 :\n\n 	The participating gardens are Hyde House\, Hyde End\, Hyde House Co
 ttage\, Ivy Cottage and the Walled Garden – a map is attached below.\n 
 	Entry to the event is by voluntary donation so please give generously if 
 you can.\n 	Hot drinks and plenty of cake will be availableat Hyde End.\n 
 	The event will be well signed with marshals on hand to guide you.\n 	Par
 king is limited in Hyde so please carshare if you can or walk via Knapp La
 ne. \n 	Parking for those with limited mobility is available at some of th
 e gardens and views can be enjoyed from a wheelchair although the gardens 
 are generally not wheelchair friendly unfortunately.\n 	Being a winter eve
 nt\, please be suitably prepared and aware of the ground conditions (Welli
 es are perfect as some lanes don’t drain well) and remember that you par
 ticipate and park at your own risk.\n\nThis event is all in aid of Horsfal
 l House\, a not-for-profit organisation and Charity caring for the elderly
  and supporting their families in our community.\n\n \n\n
