Please head to the New Registrations desk at Minchinha mpton library.\n\nJoin us this June as our much‑loved Community Walk ret urns\, welcoming families\, friends\, supporters and dogs to raise vital f unds for Horsfall House.\nWhether you’re a keen walker or simply enjoy g ood company and beautiful countryside\, everyone is welcome to take part a nd enjoy the heart of the Cotswolds together.\n\nNew for 2026: the walk wi ll finish at Horsfall House\, where walkers can collect their certificate of completion and enjoy refreshments in our Day Centre and Winstone's ice cream van will be onsite.\nDog transport is kindly provided by Playschool for Dogs running alongside our minibuses for walkers taking the shorter ro ute. Join us and help make a real difference.\n\n\n\nThe Route\nOur 10 mil e circular route starts at Minchinhampton Library and winds through some o f the most beautiful countryside in the area and finishes at Horsfall Hous e where walkers can collect their certificate of completion. The route inc ludes rare public access to Gatcombe Park Wood and Avening Court opened ex clusively for our event with the kind permission of their owners.\n\nFull route: Minchinhampton → Gatcombe Wood → Avening Court → Avening Soci al Club → Weighbridge Inn → Box Woods → Horsfall House. For those wh o prefer a shorter walking distance\, an alternative five-mile return rout e is available after Avening Court\, plus our mini bus from Avening Social Club to Horsfall House. Please wear sturdy footwear!\n\nDownload the rout e map\, directions and tips for walkers here.\n\nEvent timings\nPlease che ck in at Minchinhampton Library to get your event wristband - this must vi sible for entrance to Avening Court.\n\n Start time at the library is fro m 9.30am to 12.30pm only. \n Last entry to Avening Court: 3.00pm\n Shut tle bus will run from 11.00 - 4.00pm\n Dog fun bus will run from 11.00 - 3.30pm\n All cars parked in the Bell Lane overflow must be removed by 5.0 0pm.\n\nParking\nFree parking is available at Bell Lane car park. Please f ollow Parking Marshal instructions and park considerately. All cars are pa rked at their owners risk and cars parked in the overflow\, must be remove d by 5.00pm.\n\nRefreshments &\; facilities\nRefreshments (including ho t rolls\, drinks and cakes) and toilets are available along the route at:\ n\n Avening Social Club: 10.30am - 4.00pm\n Horsfall House: 12.30pm - 4. 30pm\n Vegan and Gluten free options will be available\n Public toilets are available next to Minchinhampton library\, as well as at Avening Socia l Club\, The Weighbridge Inn and Horsfall House.\n\nShuttle bus\nOur minib us will operate throughout the day from 11.00am - 4.00pm for anyone who ma y need assistance between Avening Social Club and Horsfall House stopping at Bell Lane car park.\n\n Final shuttle departs 4.00pm from Avening Soci al Club\n Please note that dogs are not allowed on the minibus.\n\nDOGS W ELCOME: extra love for our four legged walkers\nThe wonderful Playschool f or Dogs is supporting us and will be bringing along their dog fun buses\, ready to shuttle any tired four legged friends who need a well earned rest . These buses will run alongside our own minibus\, which will be on hand t o transport tired humans too - so everyone can enjoy the day at their own pace!\nPlease note: dogs must be kept on a lead throughout Gatcombe Wood a nd Avening Court.\n\n\n\nRegister and donate\nPre-registration is closed\, but don't worry you can do this at the start.
