Welcome to Horsfall House Summer Charity Walk 2025

Put your best foot forward this June and join us on our annual charity walk that follows a 10-mile route around the beautiful scenery of Minchinhampton. The route includes rare public access to the stunning Gatcombe Park Woods and the historic Avening Court, opened especially for our event by kind permission of the owners.

The walk begins with check-in at Minchinhampton Library from 9.30am until 1.00pm. Please note that the last entry to Avening Court is at 3pm. Toilets, drink stations and refreshments will be available along the route.
We will have a shuttle bus service on standby for anyone requiring transport from check-in at Minchinhampton Library to Avening Court, and back via Avening Social Club. For anyone preferring a shorter walk, there is an alternative return route after Avening Court.

Please take a moment to read the information below then pre-register your attendance by completing the form below. You can register for all members of your party.

Arrival

Free parking is available at Bell Lane car park. Please follow directions from the steward and park sensibly.

Check-in for walkers 9.30am – 1.00pm

Check-in is at Minchinhampton Library. If you have not pre-registered, you will need to do this here before you can start the walk.
Check-in closes at 1.00pm.
Last entry to Avening Court is 3.00pm
Check-in for runners at 9.00am – If anyone would prefer to run the route, we ask that you check-in at the library at 9.00am. Anyone planning to do this, please contact Sarah Jackson, Fundraising and Engagement Officer at sjackson@horsfallhouse.co.uk

This is a fundraising event, so we ask that if you would like to make a donation, you use the button at the top of this page. You can further help support the work of Horsfall House by raising sponsorship yourself, or you may choose to sponsor one of our Community Champions. Either way, whichever method you choose is greatly appreciated and will go a long way to supporting our work with elderly people in our communities.

If you would like to make a donation, you use the button at the top of this page. Thank you for your support – 100% of the monies raised directly support Horsfall House and those who use our services.

• Family £40
• Children (16 and under) £5
Carers and sighted guides are not expected to make a donation – thank you for what you do.

You are welcome to donate any amount that is affordable and donations can be made on the day.

Pre-register your attendance

Participants are required to register before they set off. If you pre-register, it will help us manage the queues on the day. Please use the online form below and you can include all members of your party in your registration.
